This inspiring album is a compilation of the finiest Middle-Eastern music played by great Egyptian musicians of the Mounirs’ Cairo Orchestra, selected by Mercedes Nieto for oriental dancers and for everyone, who is interested in this beautiful, mysterious and passionate musical world. The CD includes a new powerful oriental piece composed exclusively for Mercedes, as well as touching re-arragements from eternal legends (such as Oum Kalthoum, Abdel Halim Hafez, Warda), a modern alexandrian song for melaya dance, a new Baladi piece, an Adaweya-style Shaabi from the streets of Cairo, a fresh and fun drum solo, and to spice it all up, a gorgeous tango music with Egyptian flavour, based of the song of the legendary Argentinian singer, Carlos Gardel.
